I didn do that but I was probably one of the lucky ones to have a paid off car and financial security without having considered it back then. Should you? Depends on your goals, but I say no. Buy a more modest used car and wait a few years before splurging on a BMW.Take advantage of the low cost of living, live frugal the first few years, and build a nice nest egg, money for a house, or other goals down the road.
To make that happen, to create a timeless machine for fast moving times, BMW has simplified its design language, with economy of line and sculpture. That means, when you look at this new Concept 8 Series, that you see sharpness and precision, and a startling sleekness through the way the design team has achieved light and shadow on the car’s exterior. If you look closely enough, you can even see the future.
Sorry to come in to this over a week later, but I having similar issues during setup of an XL and one of my gripes to the friend who was present for assembly was not having any sort of accurate measurement for belt tension (or tension/torque on literally anything) in the basic instruction webpages. It not something specific to Shapeoko/Carbide 3D but it certainly souring my experience so far (in addition to a package that arrived with a damaged X axis beam that has made squaring extremely difficult and a number of spoilboard screw holes that had debris causing stripped and damaged screws which are arguably bigger issues than belt tension).
My 12 year old recently went on a camping trip with some of his dads friends. While on this ‘camping’ trip the following happened. The old ladys grand daughter was ‘upset’ so the woman gave her car keys to my son and told him to take her grand daughter for a drive. I find it really dangerous, and normally I tend to break and start driving really slow whenever I have one of those “stickers” behind me. does anyone know how much it would cost to paint a Peugeot 205 GTI?What car did you learn to drive in?by Renee S 6 years ago
However, before you set your sights on imported RTA cabinets, it’s important to realize what you are getting. Among brands, there are several different construction methods, vast differences in finish and wood quality, and overall selection. While you might save some money, you may also find that the sacrifices you need to make may not be worth it.
Are people savage or primitive if they survive and thrive without electronics, cars, grocery stores?People have been considered and called less than if they survive and thrive without electronics, stores, cars, clothes, basically all of the things that are so called progress. If essentially the same opinion gets reposted it automatically mean it not an unpopular opinion (within the context of the sub). It WILL get removed. If your opinion is about a ongoing event, there will usually be a mega thread where you can discuss there. Attempting to evade this rule may result in a temp or perma ban.
Plus dispatching their drivers to SF is a stupid idea. Sure, you could say it’s faster, and with a higher talent level than F2, but the cars are also much harder to adapt to, there is less relevance to F1 (Push to pass vs DRS, different tyres, only sharing 1 circuit vs all F2 circuits).
Not only that, my Probe needed an MOT and would not have passed since the speedo and odometer had broken. Ford no longer support the Probe and Mazda (The probe 2.5 24 valve V6 is basically an overweight MX 6) are not too enamoured of selling parts for it either. It would have cost more than the car was worth to repair, so it was time to move on.
We are traveling in May with LO (little one) who will be 18 months. I am planning on taking our Sureride for the flight (he has his own seat), and installing it FF on the plane. Not thrilled with FF for the flight, but I’m ok with it, and knew that would have to happen on a flight with this particular seat.
Where exactly is the evidence of them not putting in enough effort to be competitive? This is entirely against the mindset of any factory backed racing program. The early 2000 were a very different time in sportscar racing, and really the MC12 wasn very successful at all (and regardless of length and width dimensions, was a vastly different car from a modern grand tourer)This is a very closed minded and uninformed comment.
John Murphy, an analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, is bullish on Ferrari stock with a buy rating and a $150 price target. He said the Icona series cars (the Monza SP1 and SP2), as well as the other 15 all new or redesigned models that Ferrari announced as part of its 2018 2022 business plan, will help broaden the product lineup and boost revenue.
Last year, Maserati produced 42,100 vehicles, Bentley11,023 and Ferrari 8,014. Even Rolls Royce turned out more than 4,000. Granted, all of the above offer personalisation services that promise to lend a touch of individuality to standard models. But it’s often abridge too far to ask for a specially tuned engine, anuprated gearbox, reworked suspension, bespoke wheels and performance enhancements that make the car faster than standard and nicer to drive and also contrive to make it more economical.
So, given that, I think ours is an excellent seat and great for ERF. It’s easy to install in every vehicle I’ve e ER tried. The no re thread harness is worth every penny. I love how padded and plush the cover is. I like that it has the good LATCH connectors and not the flimsy seeming ones like on many other seats. No, it isn’t the ideal ERF seat for some kids, but it’s a great seat for many others!
Should You Buy a TT?If you are looking for a fun, powerful, stylish sports coupe that is also good in the snow, the all wheel drive TT is your best bet in this price range. Its sister cars the Infiniti G35 or the Nissan Z, both have rear wheel drive.
/ Matthew SheahanEmailTwitterPinterestFacebookAs BMW Oracle Racing’s USA 17 crossed the finishing line for the second and final time on February 14 2010, winning the world’s oldest international sporting trophy had cost the team roughly $720,000 per minute. At least, that was the best guess by experts who have suggested that BMW Oracle Racing’s campaign for the 33rd America’s Cup cost as much as $200m. But even this extraordinary sum spent during three years of preparation for two races that lasted a total of 4 hours and 39 minutes didn’t really reveal the true expense. Software billionaire Larry Ellison’s crusade for the America’s Cup started with the formation of his team in 2000, yet despite being among the best funded, his 2002 2003 and 2007 campaigns both failed to get the team into the position of eventual challenger. If the costs of these endeavours were taken into account, the final tally for Ellison’s success could be as much as $500m.
5. Lexus LFAOkay, so it might not be the cheapest compact supercar around, but it definitely has been the most striking in recent times, especially when one realizes that this is a car which took almost 9 years to produce since it was conceptualized and that the company which made it was known for its stylish and clinical looking family cars.
Mazda currently cannot meet the 2021 emission regulation in its home country of Japan. I am under the impression that they were hoping that this engine would allow them to do it, but so far only the base sedan with a stick manages to get under the mandated 96g co2 per km. they need their whole fleet to average that.
Would you let a 12 year old drive your car?Jump to Last Post 1 15 of 15 discussions (32 posts)My 12 year old recently went on a camping trip with some of his dads friends. I searched old posts and came across a bunch with the BMW X3 and Diono seats in 3 across, but I need RF (rear facing) seat outboard for YDS. DH (dear husband) is looking at the X3 for his next vehicle, and I’m fairly certain there is nothing I can do to dissuade him. He needs to get a new car within the next month, realistically.
We are currently a one car family so DH (dear husband) and I have been car browsing for quite a while and recently have been car shopping. We have narrowed it down between a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and 2013 BMW X3. Both have all of the bells and whistles we want, but the Jeep is brand new and about $10k more expensive than the 2013 BMW X3 that we are looking at. We figure that insurance, maintanence, and gas for the Cherokee would be cheaper and it would essentially even out over time anyway. We also plan on keeping this car for DD (dear daughter) to drive in 12ish years so we want something that will last.
Thank you for pointing this out, had it fail on my last BMW right after warranty expired. The cost to fix was so bad it became the down payment on my model S at the time. Convinced my wife to dump her Jeep and we now left ICE behind never going back. Everyone says I’m crazy and instantly defends BMW when I mention this to them. It’s like they make their stuff designed to fail. I get so sick of hearing how their motor will last forever when it’s all the little things that’s around it that will cause you to go broke sans warranty.
The following morning is spent perfecting each driver’s seating position (a vital detail which, if incorrect, can dramatically hamper progress) and learning the various steering techniques that might need to be employed in order to tackle the Nordschleife’s many and varied technicalities. After that, it’s time to undertake your first laps. These happen behind a pace car, which enables fledglings to follow the correct lines at the correct speed and therefore remain, literally, “on track”.

There are actually videos that help you learn the technique. It significantly easier with the top off, but manageable with the top on. Getting bfakn.club out is more difficult than getting in, especially for a fat guy, as gravity works against you. What I do to get out is swing a leg out, use my hands to push up on the sides of the seat to hoist my butt up onto the sill, then swing my other leg out and stand up. Once you mastered it, it looks very casual. I actually had someone that saw me do it remark that it was the most graceful exit he had ever seen from an Elise.
These bikes are extremely rare today. This was the first motorcycle made under the BMW name. It was the beginning of the legendary boxer twin engine and shaft drive layout that is still going strong on BMW’s today. These bikes were only made from 1923 1926, so there are very few people living that have had the pleasure of riding one. The bike was fairly advanced for its day using a wet sump lubrication system while most others had the archaic total loss system still in place. It had a rather large for the time 486cc engine that put out 8.5 hp, which may not sound like much, but was good enough for 59 mph and 78 mpg.
As with its Race Car Replica sibling, this one is a near complete kit. All you need to add is engine, transmission, and battery. Once again, it comes in at $44,000. Engine choice is once again varied, although they recommend either a Chevy LS engine or a twin turbo Lexus V8 set up. You can pick these up cheap. The all aluminum construction and standard forged internals make this a great engine if you fancy 1000bhp. FAST!
To the best of my knowledge, I am no more of a jerk or sheep now that I have my dream car than I was when I was rocking cassette tapes in my beater. It’d be sort of stupid to assume any different about someone else just because of their car. Why not? Everyone does. It can be fun.
TLDR: BMW lease gone wrong, left with $825/mo payment and seeking options to get rid of the carStop leasing luxury cars you can pay for in cash. Just leasing a BMW is screwing yourself. You get to pay for the most expensive part of the depreciation with nothing to show for.
5) Cory Booker. He came on very strongly for race issues, inequality, and gun control, for better or worse. I think he taken very polarizing positions on issues that are make/break for many people and that may be his anchor. He also leaned more towards anger than charm and the way he got speaking time wasn a good look; effective yes, but “not presidential”. VP or Cabinet for him.
I drive a 325. we have 2 Britax Marathons installed so neither is in the center, DS (dear son) 1 who is 3 sits behind the driver (DH is 6 3 so that seat needs to be able to go all the way back) DS (dear son) 2 who is 11 mo sits behind the passenger RF. But we leave that seat pushed almost all the way up. I drive the car most of the time, and not many passengers, if we do all go out in it DH (dear husband) drives, but I am short 5 4 so can handle the passenger seat being pushed up. Before we had DS2 in the graco snugride on the passenger side. But now with the july baby coming it looks like I am trurning in my car. very sad.
The summit looks good, but most people are overhyping it a lot. BMW for instance mentions on stage that their proof of concept was succesful, but the future will be long and complicated as Germans (BMW) are very skeptical of new technologies. The concept looks great, but it is not much different from many prototypes on other chains.
