Description: Serving temptingly fresh and flavoursome creations from world-famous chef Jamie Oliver, Jamie's Italian evokes the vibrancy and passion embedded in traditional Italian cooking and culture. A homely neighbourhood vibe is inspired by the rustic and relaxed ambience of the 'Italian table', with delicious flavours from the menu including truffled turkey Milanese, or a colourful seaside risotto.

My lamb ravioli were best described as "alright", and came with no sauce whatsoever. This again was accompanied with the sour tasting ricotta which added nothing to the dish. Now imagine your typical Bolognese, come to Jamie's and experience the most lackluster bolognese possible. It was dry pasta with the odd speckle of minced meat, and again, almost a complete lack of any sauce.
Certainly not the rich and sauce-filled bolognese you'd expect to get anywhere else. The polenta chips did not arrive with the mains and sat on the pass you could see this from our table for an inordinate amount of time before eventually, i could get ahold of someone to bring them to our table. These were not worth the wait, and came to us half-way through our main courses. These chips literally had no taste.
The waiter came to take our plates away and asked if everything was ok, Having barely touched the polenta I told him that everything was "ok, but these just don't taste of anything at all". He explained that the "polenta chips are complicated because of the way they're cooked. I have made polenta plenty of times and it aint rocket science.
These were removed from the bill, but honestly i begrudged paying for any of the meal. Unfortunately I couldn't complain more than I did as I was on a date and wasn't comfortable doing so. I came with a fussy eater and reckoned Italian food was a safe bet. My god, pasta is pretty hard to get wrong, but this was the worst meal I've had in Dublin, and worse again when you've chosen a useless venue to bring someone to. Please all, save yourselves the money and do not come here, honestly, just go to McDonalds, it's nicer.
I ate here for Sunday lunch with three others and was fairly disappointed by the experience. On the plus side it's a lovely restaurant, well designed and bright. Staff are friendly and well trained.

The food however was a letdown, far too expensive for what you get. We also had a small portion of the mushroom pasta, it was tiny! Literally a breakfast bowl half filled. It was fine but not enough for the price. Its unlikely I'll try this restaurant again given the other offerings in the area.
As the title reads I found my visit here to be average.
